GUIDELINES FOR HOW TO GET TO LJUBLJANA

All flights to and from Ljubljana are operated through the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is located at 25km from the city centre.​ A taxi ride from Ljubljana Airport to the city centre costs from €20-45.

More than 20 European cities are served by regular direct flights. Adria Airways, a member of the Star Alliance network, is Slovenia's national carrier operating hundreds of flights. Other carriers flying to Ljubljana directly include: Austrian, Aeroflot, Air France, ČSA Czech Airlines, EasyJet and more.

Transfer from a different airport to Ljubljana​:

Another option is to fly to an airport in neighbouring countries and then take a transfer to Ljubljana.

The public city bus network makes it easy to travel within the city. It is also convenient to travel by bus to reach other localities around the country. 

Holders of the Ljubljana Card (or an ESRA 2015 delegate badge) are entitled to free of charge use of the city bus network.


Ljubljana also has a well-organised taxi service, which is not expensive. There are fixed spots in the city where taxis are stationed, or they can be ordered by telephone.
